Tatuaje Monster Mash Review Series: Michael

Tatuaje Monster Mash Review Series: Michael

Originally released as a 6 ½ x 52 Toro in October 2017, the Michael is the 10th Monster after Frank, Wolf, Drac, Face, Mummy, Jason, Jekyll, Hyde, and Kreuger. Along with the 666 dress boxes of 13 that were released, an additional 4,500 10 count boxes were released of the original Michael. The dress box of The Michael is easily the most chilling for me, sporting a silhouetted image of Michael Myers that immediately brings back some of the feelings of fear I felt the first time I watched the Halloween series of movies as a child. As for the...

Barn Work Sessions: Ferio Tego Cigars Timeless Sterling Robusto

Barn Work Sessions: Ferio Tego Cigars Timeless Sterling Robusto

Something had me up pretty early this Sunday morning and the dogs and I couldn’t go back to sleep. So instead of keeping my wife awake, I decided the dogs and I could go up to the barn and feed earlier this morning. Being a rather comfortable morning outside, I figured I’d get my barn cleaning out of the way early. So I grabbed a cigar, a cup of coffee, the pitchfork, and the wheelbarrow.  This morning I grabbed the Ferio Tego Timeless Sterling Robusto from the Whiskey & Whitetails Body Builder Sampler. Some may recognize the Timeless brand from...

Vitola Battle: Emilio Cigars LJZ LE 2021

Vitola Battle: Emilio Cigars LJZ LE 2021

The regular production LJZ was released ahead of the merger between Emilio and Black Label Trading Co. that was announced in 2019. The LJZ had already been produced by Fabrica Oveja Negra upon initial release, but the merger saw Emilio become part of Oveja Negra Brands, joining Black Label Trading Company,...

HVC Cigars 10th Anniversary Review

HVC Cigars 10th Anniversary Review

In 2011 Reinier Lorenzo sought to pay homage to Havana City, Cuba, his home prior to coming to the United States, by founding HVC Cigars. Lorenzo has solidified HVC Cigar’ place in the industry and celebrated the company’s 10 year anniversary with the release of a cigar fittingly called the HVC Cigars 10th Anniversary. Making 10 years in the cigar industry is a feat worth celebrating and Lorenzo is doing it in style with what I believe is their highest priced cigar to date, coming in at $15.00 per stick. Also notable is the use of the Corojo 2012 varietal...

Barn Work Sessions: Warped Cigars Chinchalle

Barn Work Sessions: Warped Cigars Chinchalle

Usually for these “Sessions” reviews I have a little bit of an introduction, or something to talk about. That’s not really the case here, just a normal barn cleaning day. So I’ll just talk a bit about this cigar: The Chinchalle is the first cigar by Warped Cigars to come out of the Dominican Republic. Honestly, this doesn’t set up as a match made in Heaven for me. I’m not usually impressed with Warped stuff and typically Dominican-heavy blends aren’t my favorite. That being said, I am a cigar geek and this decision by Kyle Gellis intrigues me. So let's...
