Cigar Basics - Part 2: Factory to Shop

Cigar Basics - Part 2: Factory to Shop

In the first article, Cigar Basics - Part 1: Seed to Factory, we discussed tobacco seeds, the plant, growing, and the final stages at the farm. This article will follow tobacco as it makes its way through the factory. As with the previous article, this is brief, not in-depth discussion. It is meant to introduce some common terms and show the processes that occur in the factory as the tobacco is prepped and eventually rolled. Cigar Basics - Part 1: Seed to Factory

Hi! My name is Trevor. As soon as I was given the opportunity to bring cigar content to Whiskey & Whitetails, I began making a list of ideas. Though there will be reviews, I want to bring more to the table. I want to provide a place for new smokers to learn and seasoned smokers to grow. Archery Sessions: ATL Cigar Co Magic Sublime

Archery Sessions: ATL Cigar Co Magic Sublime

I guess ATL Cigar Co is on my mind after the big news of their combining forces with Luciano Cigars. I have a couple ATL Cigars left to try so I reached for the Magic. In 2019 the blends sold back then joined the Casa Cuevas Cigars portfolio under the Reserva name. Today I am going to be smoking the Reserva Maduro Toro while I take care of the chicken coop and mow for the first time in a little over...

Vitola Battle: Caldwell Cigar Co Anastasia (2022)

Vitola Battle: Caldwell Cigar Co Anastasia (2022)

The Anastasia line from Caldwell Cigar Co. dates back to 2016. That first iteration, and all subsequent iterations, had undisclosed blends and featured Princess Anastasia on the primary band. The difference lies in the factories of production and the secondary band colors. Today I am reviewing the newest edition of Anastasia, which sports a yellow secondary band. Unlike the first edition, this 2022 Anastasia comes from an undisclosed factory in an undisclosed country (however, there has been some speculation on the factory and company).  The first Anastasia (green secondary band) was a miss for me back when I smoked it....
