Black Star Line Cigars Dark War Witch Pig LE

Black Star Line Cigars Dark War Witch Pig LE

The Dark War Witch was released in late 2021 by Black Star Line Cigars as a follow up to the War Witch. This year the Dark War Witch is getting a limited edition line extension in the form of the “Pig” - a 4 3/4 x 60 Perfecto. The Pig is limited to 200 boxes of 10 and maintains the Dark War Witch Blend. Upon announcement I was immediately excited to try the blend in a different size, as I am a big fan of the Dark War Witch. Country of Origin: Nicaragua Factory: Agricola Ganadera Norteno S.A. Casdagli Cigars Brothers of the Sabre Forrader Robusto Review

Casdagli Cigars Brothers of the Sabre Forrader Robusto Review

The Brothers of the Sabre line was born out of Jeremy Casdagli’s fascination with Napoleon’s attempt to conquer Europe. This line pays homage to the generals on all sides and the blends are intended to be representative of the character of whom they honor. This Forrader line was named after Prussia’s Gebhard Leberecht von Blucher and is touted as having “deceptive strength”. I have not smoked either of the current Brothers of the Sabre blend, but am eager to change that with this Forrader Robusto! Country of Origin: Dominican Republic Factory: Kelner Boutique Cigar Factory (KBF) Wrapper: Ecuador Binder: Dominican...

Black Star Line Cigars Mr. Fahrenheit Review

The Black Star Line Cigars Mr. Fahrenheit is crafted at Tabacalera Isla in the Dominican Republic. A portion of the proceeds from each Mr. Fahrenheit sale goes to Ignite The Spirit, a Chicago firefighter charity. Aric Bey, creator of Black Star Line cigars, is a Chicago firefighter by trade and an avid cigar enthusiast. Mr. Fahrenheit perfectly bridges these two aspects of his life. I have enjoyed this cigar a few times already and figured this time I would review it. Country of Origin: Dominican Republic Factory: Tabacalera la Isla Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf Binder: Dominican Filler: Nicaragua and Dominican Vitola:...

Foundation Cigar Co Metapa/Aksum Claro Robusto Review

Foundation Cigar Co Metapa/Aksum Claro Robusto Review

Released in fall of 2023, Metapa pays homage to Ruben Dario, a famed Nicaraguan Poet. Early this year it was announced the line would be rebranded to Aksum, named after the resting place of the Ark of the Covenant. To be honest, I do not fully understand the decision to rebrand the line, especially to something that seems unrelated (though I am not educated on the subject). At any rate, this blend is very popular for the company. I have smoked this Claro in the Toro and was quite impressed with it. I am excited to try this robusto.  Country...
